artist #9- Maurizio Anzeri

An artist that I recently discovered named Maurizio Anzeri works with both photography and altering photos in an artistic way. He takes photos and adds different elements of art on top of the photo. In a way this is like what I do. I place targel and ink on top of a photo where as he sews directly into his photographs creating an intense feelings for the viewer. His intention is to make the viewer have certain feelings brought about themselves, which is one of my intentions also. Anzeri alters the face of the person in the photograph which leaves viewers wondering how that person in the portrait is feeling.
